For your ADI theory test, you will be presented with a random selection of questions covering various sections. The test draws from the approved DVSA revision bank for Approved Driving Instructors. The exam will include 100 questions in total, and to pass, you must answer more than 85% of them correctly.

ADI Theory Test Practice
These ADI theory test practice quizzes are designed to help you prepare for Part 1 of your Approved Driving Instructor qualification. The qualification process consists of three parts in total:
Part 1: Theory
This part includes multiple-choice questions, which you can practice using the quizzes provided, and a hazard perception test. To pass Part 1, you must achieve an overall mark of 85%, which means correctly answering at least 85 out of 100 questions. Additionally, you need to obtain a minimum mark of 80% in each of the four sections. We recommend going through the sections individually to ensure you can answer all the questions accurately and ADI theory test book.
For the hazard perception test, the minimum pass mark is 57 out of 75. To qualify as an instructor, you must pass both the multiple-choice and hazard perception tests.
Part 2: Driving Ability
In Part 2, your driving ability will be assessed, including separate evaluations of your eyesight and driving techniques. Both parts of the driving test must be passed in the same attempt. To improve your driving technique on the roads, we suggest training with reputable organizations such as the Institute of Advanced Motorists. During the test, you are allowed a maximum of six minor driving faults. you can also book theory test for ADI online.
Part 3: Instructional Ability
Part 3 evaluates your instructional skills, assessing your ability to effectively pass on your knowledge to your students. During this test, the examiner will take on the role of a pupil, and you will be asked to provide practical instruction. The examiner will portray different scenarios, acting as a fairly new driver, a pupil ready to take a test, and a qualified driver seeking further training and book a ADI theory test.
Successfully completing all three parts of the qualification process is necessary to become an Approved Driving Instructor.
